Welcome to Dr. Liang’s Bioenvironmental and Bioenergy Research Laboratory. As the name implies, we focus on solving environmental and energy problems using biological processes. Currently, we have three major projects ongoing: 1) the mechanisms responsible for lignocellulosic biomass degradation by thermophilic bacteria; 2) CO2 sequestration through microalgae; and 3) valuable product and biofuel generation from industrial and agricultural waste materials by oleaginous microbes.
