Welcome to SIUC Civil and Environmental Engineering The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers programs leading to a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with a Specialization in Environmental Engineering and a Master of Science Degree (M.S.) in Civil Engineering. The Department also participates in the College level Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Engineering Science. While earning these degrees, students take courses in structural engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, hydraulic engineering, land surveying, and transportation engineering taught by the Faculty of the Department. One of the unique aspects of our program is the fact that we offer the courses required for licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Illinois through both on campus and off campus classes. There are approximately 230 students enrolled in the civil and environmental engineering program at SIUC (200 undergraduate and 30 graduate students). The faculty consists of 15 professors with diverse research and teaching interests. Many of our Faculty have a professional license. |
