Civil Engineering Surveying
A unique aspect of our program in the Civil and Environmental Engineering
Department is the surveying curriculum. In order to qualify for
admission to the Illinois Surveyor-In-Training (NCEES: Fundamentals
of Land Surveying) examination, a student must have a bachelor
of science degree as well as twenty-four hours of surveying courses.
Through our program, a student can earn a bachelor of science
degree while completing all twenty-four hours of surveying
courses. All of the surveying courses offered through our
department have been reviewed and approved by the Illinois
Department of Professional Regulation, Land Surveyors Exam
Board. Students pursuing a bachelor of science degree in
other programs enroll in these courses also. We offer a
Surveying Certificate to students who complete the required courses.
