Highlights in Research

At SIUC, we not only teach knowledge, but create it.  This awareness is the fundamental foundation of our research. Our Faculty research is funded by federal and state agencies including the National Science Foundation (NSF), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Institutes of Water Resources, the Illinois Clean Coal Institute, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Development, the Nature Conservancy, Illinois CFAR, and the Illinois Groundwater Consortium.  In addition, our Faculty publish in scholarly journals and conferences.

The following publications are our most highly cited journal papers.   Being cited by other researchers is one of the highest honors and recognitions of our work.

DeVantier, B.A., Larock, B.E., 1987, Modeling sediment-induced density currents in sedimentation basins, ASCE J. Hydraulic Engineering, 113(1): 80-94.

DeVantier, B.A., Feldman, A.D., 1993, Review of GIS applications in hydrologic modeling, ASCE J. Water Resources Planning and Management, 119(2): 246-261.
