M.S. Non-Thesis
If a student prefers a non-thesis option, a minimum of 36 semester
hours of acceptable graduate credit is required. Of this total
at least 21 semester hours of graduate credit must be earned in
CE courses, including no more than 3 credit hours of the appropriate
CE 592 (Special Investigations in Civil Engineering) course to be devoted to the preparation of a Research Paper.
In addition, the student is required to pass a comprehensive examination.
The student's performance on the examination is evaluated by the
student's graduate faculty committee and reported to the Graduate School. The complete
procedures and requirements for the M.S. Degree are described in
the Graduate
Catalog and the Student Handbook of the department.
