Graduate Research Opportunity
Graduate research positions in the area of structures
are available through the Department of Civil and Environmental
Engineering at Southern Illinois University Carbondale beginning
Spring 2008 semester. Applicants must have a fundamental background in
structural and geotechnical engineering and have a motivated interest
in one or more of the following areas: seismic analysis, seismic
design, time-frequency representation of earthquake signals, ground
motion modeling. Ph.D. level applicants are preferred, but M.S. level

areas:
Remediation of
contaminated groundwater, soil and sediment with plant-facilitated
bioremediation technologies such as phytoremediation and constructed
