SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY CARBONDALE.  Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for a full-time tenure or tenure-track faculty position in Environmental, Water Resources or Geotechnical Engineering; applications will be accepted at all ranks.  The ranks of Professor or Associate Professor require significant academic or industrial experience, an outstanding record of ongoing research documented by archive publications, significant research funding, and teaching experience commensurate with rank.  Applicants for the rank of Assistant Professor must have a demonstrated potential for high quality research and teaching with research documented by publications.  Department provides support and excellent opportunities for the development of new faculty.

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and doctorate by the time of hire in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field in Engineering. Professional experience is highly desirable. Professional licensure is desirable and will be required for tenure.
