Bachelor Of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
The civil engineering curriculum is designed to give the student
a foundation in the basic principles used in the practice of civil
engineering through required courses in environmental engineering,
geotechnical engineering, hydraulic and water resources engineering,
structural engineering and surveying. Technical electives are
offered in these areas as well as transportation engineering.
The Civil Engineering program leading to the Bachelor of Science
degree at SIUC is fully accredited by the Engineering Accreditation
Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.

of a typical four-year program of study for the Civil Engineering
