The explicit method was used to solve the temperature distribution in the long, thin insulated rod used in our manufacturing process. The length of the rod is 10 cm, and k = 0.835 cm2/s. The boundary conditions are T(0) = 100° , T(10) = 50° . At t=0, the temperature in the rod is 25° . The governing equation is:
