Welcome to Southern Illinois University at Carbondale's American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Homepage.

A new addition to the Engineering courtyard came as a group effort between ASCE and its graduate advisors, Steward Steel, Joe Lenzini of IDOT, ET Simonds, the CEE Department, and Dr. Max Yen. For additional information, click on the links provided or Email us. The sculpture was part of a learning experience developed by AISC. For more information about the sculpture, click on the picture above or here.

In other news, ASCE bridge team member Joe Vandre recently defeated the governor in a skills test. At halftime of the Saluki men's basketball game, Joe was given the opportunity to butt heads with the governor in a basketball spinning contest and opted to try to talk the governor down in addition to showing off his skills. Additional pictures will soon be added to fully highlight the event.
