ASCE Steel Sculpture

There are a number of campuses across America fortunate enough to have this sculpture. In order to learn more about the sculpture, feel free to take a look at the .pdf file that contains a plethora of information explaining the connections and more general information about steel design.

** The design and fabrication of the statue was completed by AISC and Steward Steel, respectively. After completion of the statue, Steward Steel contacted SIU and the statue was stored at ET Simonds until the construction of the foundation was complete. Coordination of the project was handled by Joe Lenzini, an IDOT Engineer, and Steven Little, a CE graduate assistant and graduate advisor to ASCE.
